Our Academy Needs You!
- Are you passionate that young people deserve the best education to set them off in life?
- Do you believe that a Christian moral structure is important?
- Do you have the skills and expertise to lead a team?
- Are you prepared to use your skills and experience for the benefit of the next generation?
Cidari Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint a Chair of Governors to lead the Local Governing Body at St George’s School – A Church of England Academy in Blackpool.
Our Trust offers a Christian home to Schools who want the strength and support that comes from being in a family of like-minded academies. There are presently seven academies in the Cidari Family. They are located within the geographic spread of the Blackburn Diocese throughout Blackburn, Blackpool and Lancashire. There are also more schools in the Diocese looking to join the Trust in the future.
The Trust is governed by a Chair and Board of Directors, and whilst Academies are managed day to day by a Headteacher and their team, their work is scrutinised by a team of Governors as a committee of this board, who ensure that a clear strategy for the academy is implemented and monitored. The concept is as a ‘Critical Friend’ – someone who has the confidence and ability to challenge where necessary, but who also supports the academy and is willing to contribute ideas. For further information on the role of Governors in our Trust please visit the Governance section of our website by clicking here.
