TWO schools in Darwen, Lancashire, have been welcomed into the Cidari Multi-Academy Trust. The Trust was set up last year by the Diocesan Board of Education for The Church of England in Lancashire.
St George's have involved a new business partner in the development of STEM education. The pictures demonstrate both boys and girls groups working together to produce the models that would take the weight of the rail car they had also made. St George's School Year 8 rounders team are Blackpool League winners for the second year running.
The school year is up and running at pace, lessons are developing along their various courses. In addition Year 7 all know their way around, years 10 & 11 'prep' sessions are underway after school, the sports teams are being selected and extra music lessons organised.
Team SG have held the opening ceremony of their version of the Commonwealth Games. This two day event to end an exciting year of development for the school had a memorable start.
Well done to all for this magnificent achievement. St George's had two teams in this event held at St Mary's Catholic College, they came 1st & 3rd.

St George's is focussing on 'random acts of kindness', where we are acknowledging all the kind things we do for each other that often go unnoticed. This has been led by the fund created by 'The Princess Diana anti-bullying ambassadors'.
