St Barnabas’ celebrate the anniversary of becoming a Church of England Academy with stunning SATs results
6 October 2015
Headteacher, Helen Thomas held a celebratory worship event to commemorate the first anniversary of the school becoming a Cidari Church of England Academy.
Children and parents have been involved in creating a new school badge that emphasises the importance of learning and growing together to achieve high standards within a loving and caring Christian family.
Since its last inspection in 2013 the school has made consistent progress. This summer the school achieved its best ever results, with 100% of Year 6 pupils achieving the expected level 4+ in Maths and Writing, and gaining above the national average for Year 6 pupils in Reading.
Liz Agbettoh, CEO for Cidari Education Ltd said, “These are stunning results which have been achieved due to the hard work and commitment of all the staff at the school. They have worked tirelessly to raise standards, and the children have responded well to innovations in teaching and learning. I would also like to thank the governors and parents for their support.”
