Having successfully completed the Solo Ice Dance series and Championships for this season she was ranked 4th in her age category in the UK in the discipline of Ice Dance. Francesca now needs to compete in a couple of Figure skating competitions in order to fulfil the criteria to apply for selection to the 2016-17 Great Britain development squad from 1st Sept. 2016.

Francesca narrowly missed out on the bronze medal last week in the British Championships, having skated very well to be placed 3rd in the first pattern dance competition and 3rd again in the European Waltz, scoring PBs in the compulsory dances. She was drawn last to skate the free dance and having skated well, had a long wait for scores whilst the judges scrutinised video replays of Francesca's performance, she finished 4th in the free dance and 4th overall with a score of 37.32 (3rd place was 38.02).

Everyone is incredibly proud of Francesca, both her skating and the way she dealt with her disappointment at missing out so narrowly on the medal - it has made her even more determined to be selected to the GB development squad and aim for the podium at next year's British Championships.
