Recently, students from all Colleges in Year 7 have volunteered to be part of the College Council and now we have a new layer of pupils shaping the school. The students were put through a rigorous selection process including a one to one interview with a representative of the current College Council. Those who made it through this stage in the process were then required to create a poster and speech as to why they feel they would be the best candidate for the job. After trying to persuade their peers to vote for them in our hustings, the Election Day arrived. This final stage then required all of Year 7 to vote for who they thought would be suited best for the council which resulted in 12 new additions to College Council.
Congratulations to the successful candidates and we look forward to their baptism into the Council in St George’s week.
