Mission Statement - Aim high Dream Big
Loving God and each other.
We work together to make a difference.
We learn together to navigate the future and achieve our goals.
We make memories to last a lifetime.
Our Values
Values are important to us as a school and we aim to develop our pupils academically, spiritually, morally, socially, culturally and physically by providing a broad and balanced curriculum with faith values at the heart of everything we do. The school has three core values at the heart. These are love, belonging and thankfulness. To ensure our pupils gain a secure understanding of these core values, our teaching has a different focus each half term. The values covered this academic year have been generosity, compassion, friendship, forgiveness, peace and respect. Through this teaching we actively promote respect and tolerance of all faiths, races and cultures to ensure that our pupils become global citizens who will make positive contributions to society and the wider world.
Our Academy
At St Silas we place great emphasis upon the well-being and personal development of every child, basing everything we do on our faith values. Loving God and each other is at the heart of our school. In our school we celebrate the diversity of our local community and work with our parents to ensure we meet the needs of each child.
We provide a well- resourced, broad and balanced curriculum with lots of opportunities to widen your child’s experiences through an extensive range of trips, visitors and extra activities. We have strong links with Children’s University. All this enables us to develop your child’s individual talents.
As our vision states we have high expectations in work and behaviour and believe all can achieve when we work together.
